The college has well equipped library apart from the two centralized libraries shared with parent institute - LAD College. One centralized library of LAD College is situated in the same campus which has more than 20,000 books. Another library is situated in Shankarnagar campus which has more than 50,000 books. The college library has 7000 volumes and about 9000 volumes of campus LAD library which are relevant and often referred by staff and students. These books are related to courses such are Interior design, Hotel Management, Humanities along with general books on literature and GK.
There are 36 national and 8 international reputed journals subscribed in the library.
Apart from the books and journals, there are doctoral and master's thesis reports. And there are compilations of the papers published by the staff members. The documentation works by the students are also appropriately compiled and maintained in the library. Many rare and academically relevant books are available in the library and staff students of not only this college but many other colleges in the region often refer it.
Apart from this we also have a digital library database.
SMMCA has a large workshop equipped with all necessary machines and equipment required for the workshop jobs allotted to students. The workshop area is open to students for model making purpose to use whenever they wish.
The climatology & environmental laboratory of SMMCA, Nagpur is a well developed laboratory equipped with various equipments to address different issues related to the subject.
The laboratory aims in making the students aware of the various equipments related to climatology, various ways and means of collecting climatic data. It also facilitates the students to do the various experiments and assignments for taking effective design decisions.

The environmental laboratory is used for extensive course work and is also used for different workshops and research activities.
As a college policy we try to incorporate the climate studies in design studios and the proposals are modified as per the studies conducted using sundial, heliodon and wind stimulator.
The Brain Gym encourages and nurtures creative thinking in students as well as teachers through many experimental art and design activities.
In Brain Gym, students and teachers both get to flex their creative muscles through these various playful hands-on activities.
The display area of the Brain Gym is located right above the workshop area, which is the heart of Brain Gym; where most of the experimentation is carried out.
The college has a well equipped computer lab with scanning, plotting and printing facilities at hand. Our expert staff trains students in various computer courses needed for architectural drafting and presentations.
Women’s education society runs a hostel which is located in the beautiful campus at seminary hills. It provided accommodation to around 200 girl students with all basic facilities. The hostel has a main garden in the front and canteen in rear vicinity. The hostel has extensive sports facilities for outdoor games like badminton, throw ball, basketball, etc. The mess of the hostel provides vegetarian meals, snacks and tea.
The college has a faculty who is dedicated to co-ordination of sports activities and every year students participate in intercollegiate sports competition like Badminton, Basket Ball, Volley Ball, Taekwondo, Chess, Table Tennis and Athletics and bring laurels to the college.
The college provides sports kit, conveyance, refreshments, incentive marks and club facilities to participating students of intercollegiate tournaments.
We have SKS basketball club in the Shankar Nagar Campus for beginners & District, State and National level players.
The college has two refreshment facilities – the main canteen towards the rear side of the campus and a Nescafe coffee kiosk near the entrance of the campus. Both these facilities offer good food at a very reasonable rate and are very conveniently located.
The college has a small convenient tuck shop where all stationery required by the students is available at subsidized rates. It is conveniently located within the college premises so that students don’t have to go far to buy the stationery items.
Exploration of materials is central to Architectural Education. Many an architectural forms are a result of the material choice. The plasticity of concrete, the modular texture of bricks, the rough hewn timber and the rustic stone, time and again, have given buildings across the world, their characteristic expression. Thus, material is not merely an afterthought, which is plonked at the time of execution. On the contrary it is, more often than not, the point of departure for designing.
The theory subject of Building Construction and Materials introduces various materials to the students and site-visits give them an opportunity to see these materials being used. The Material museum helps keep an inventory of all the materials studied. Along with the material samples, the scale-models of joineries, door detailing etc. facilitate easy learning.Objectives :
The museum has a dynamic collection, in that, every quarterly it is altered/added on, to incorporate new materials introduced in the market. Students are encouraged to attend architectural exhibitions and shops and collect building materials and samples, in order to contribute to the collection.Vision :

Survey is a practical subject in Architecture which needs instruments for measurement of plots and its contours. The college has a survey lab that is equipped with all the requisite equipment.
