PARTICIPATION IN COMPETITION

“Streets for People Challenge”

The Streets for People Challenge is an initiative of the Smart Cities Mission, Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs (MoHUA), Government of India, to inspire cities to create walking-friendly streets through quick measures, in response to COVID-19. The Challenge aimed to create flagship walking initiatives in cities, which focus on placemaking & liveability. The city led design competition aimed to crowdsource innovative ideas for designing and testing the pilot interventions through quick, low cost solutions. Goal of the competition was to reimagine streets as Safe, Healthy and Happy Public Spaces for all. Two flagship Pilot sites & two Neighbourhbood Sites were given.

She is the Advisor for the research Journal, ‘The Urban Rhetoric ‘ Published by Innovative Research and Design Studio, Banglore. “The Urban Rhetoric” is a bi-annual initiative by innovative Research and Design Studio [IRDS] to create a platform for discussion and act as a catalyst in recreating the future of urbanism and urban development in India.
  2. She is the Certified Professional and also an Evaluator for GRIHA and is working as a green building consultant.

Park Particpatory Public Space Reimagining “Implementable Ideas” Competition organised by Multilogue Collective & Trust for Regeneration of Indian Settlements in Collaboration with C.R Park Green Community Initiative (GCI) from 1st Sept 2020 to 31st Jan 2021. It was an Ideas Competition for SIte A of the C. R. Park. Ar. Tanvi Burghate along with her team members Ar. Apurva Kumbhar & Ar.
