Women’s Education Society’s (WES) Smt Manoramabai Mundle College of Architecture offers a five year degree course in Architecture in the faculty of Science and Technology.

Smt Manoramabai Mundle College of Architecture was the Department of Architecture of LAD College started in the session 1993-94 and was elevated to the status of a college in 2008-09 after permission granted by the Council of Architecture, New Delhi and government of Maharashtra.

Post graduate course (M.Arch in Architecture Education) has been initiated from the session 2007-2008. PhD in architecture has also started from the year 2012-2013.

Post graduate course (M.Arch in Urban Design) was initiated from session 2019-2020.

Online Valuation Course is initiated from this session 2022-23.

The vision limits to the present situation or at best for the near future. We should mention that we equip students to venture into the future. Our vision is to reach global standards by deliberate modernization without losing the essential characteristics of our tradition. Being a women’s college, we find it most pertinent to imbibe both these qualities very consciously in our girl students.

SMMCA, under the ambit of WES (Women’s Education Society) offers a safe, interactive and enriching environment for girls.
The educational program emphasizes on developing a creative attitude. Students here enjoy freedom in thinking process, which is a pre-requisite for a creative field like architecture. The thrust, thus, is to hone the inherent skills and develop design acumen rather than role learning. Equipped with conviction and knowledge, students are prepared to face challenges of the professional world.

About Women’s Education Society (WES)

Women’s Education Society (WES) was established in the year 1932. Driven by the mission of overall development of women, the members have always striven hard towards the goal. Thus as an integral part of the society they have joined hands with the national policies for development of women.

The mission of Women’s Education Society is to enlighten, empower and socially uplift women through access to higher, technical and vocational skills education.
