SMMCA endeavors to integrate education, research and social outreach so as to promote academic excellence through innovation, creativity and scholarly development.
- Research oriented approach – In SMMCA architecture research is taken up for not just creating new knowledge but also to bridge the knowledge gaps. The faculties & students are encouraged to take up research with a complete support by creating conducive environment in the institution and to facilitate them to manifest their concepts and ideas to realization.
- Innovative methods – Innovations are done by teachers in line with the course content in subjects like Architectural Design, Basic Design, Theory of Architecture, Advanced Building materials etc. To link academic and profession and include practical aspects of architecture, well known practicing architects are invited to conduct Design Workshops on various design issues
- Collaborative learning modes – The institution takes initiatives to conduct students-teachers exchange programs with eminent architecture institutions in and outside India to expand the learning arenas. The institution has independently or in collaboration conducted programs to benefit the society. Various awareness programs are conducted at society level. Special programs are crafted for school children to make them understand the role of architect at different aspects of cultural and social contribution.
