Ministry of Education, Govt. of India has asked all higher education institutions to formulate Innovation and start-up policies for their students and faculties. This will enable the Institutes to actively engage students, faculty, and staff in innovation and entrepreneurship-related activities.
Taking into consideration the recommendations made by MAHARASHTRA STATE INNOVATIVE START-UP POLICY 2018, Govt. of India’s National Innovation and Start-up Policy 2019 for Students and Faculty, we at Smt. Manoramabai Mundle College of Architecture (SMMCA) is in process of establishing an Advisory committee to start the work of policy formulation at the institute level and pre-incubation center.
Our objective is to promote innovation and facilitate the development of an entrepreneurial ecosystem in an organization by developing a incubation center in the first stage and organizing workshops related to Startups, IPR, Funding, Govt. policies, programs, etc.
For setting up a pre-incubation center, we will be using the existing infrastructure of the institute. In the second stage, we are planning to set up an incubation center that will benefit our institute as well as students and faculty in establishing their start-up.
Experts from Industry and Academia are the member of this Advisory Committee they have guided us in formulating the said Policy.
