The Frame Club (Students Photography Club) of WES’s Smt. Manoramabai Mundle College of Architecture, Nagpur recently successfully conducted their 4th National Photography Competition 2023. The competition received an excellent response with registrations from all over Maharashtra and also from all parts of India like Jammu & Kashmir, Karnataka, Telangana, Gujarat, etc. The theme of the competition was ‘Monsoon Magic’, with subthemes like Nature, Landscapes, Food, Fun, People, Streetlife, Culture, Festivals, etc.
The college extends warm congratulations to the winners of the competition –
1st Prize – Roshan Dhotre (Chandrapur)
2nd Prize – Rajendra Kandalgaonkar (Mumbai)
3rd Prize – Vivek Joshi (Thane)
Special mentions – Shradhha Pimpalkar (Chandrapur), Mansi Prajapati (Nagpur), Bhagyashree Girgaonkar (Nagpur), Roshi Baidya (Nagpur), Anagha Kamde (Nagpur), Pallavi Joshi (Bangalore), Saniya Bijwe (Nagpur), Sukruti Amte (Nagpur), Neha Kharnale (Kalyan), Sanjay Godbole (Pune) and Poornima Deshpande (Nagpur).
The Student Co-ordinators of the competition were Jeevika Chahande and Vinita Dambale. The faculty mentors for the competition were Dr. Sampada Peshwe, Prof. Atula Patwardhan and Ar. Samruddhi Amte. Dr. Roopal Deshpande, the Principal of SMMCA, and Dr. Avinash Deshmukh, Vice President of Women’s Education Society and Director of SMMCA, have extended their best wishes to the winners. The winners will be felicitated during the International Women’s Day program conducted annually by the college in the month of March.
