SMMCA Nagpur won the SA Deshpande Award of the year 19-20
Every year, the IIA (The Indian Institute of Architects), Nagpur Centre, conduct the prestigious Prof. S. A. Deshpande Competition for 7th semester B. Arch students every year.
All the colleges affiliated to the RTMNY and VNIT prepare and compete enthusiastically for the competition. This year’s topic was the Gulliver Project and the brief was about the measure, distance, scale, object autonomy and the subject reversal.
The site had to be imaginary and it had to have a certain narrative to the project. The final design output was to expected in A0 size, PPT presentation, movie or any other mode where they could present their ideas.
3 students qualified for finals of the competition and Ms. Khadija Behrainwala won the competition along with a cash price. Ms. Radhika Agarwal of SMMCA was awarded a consolation prize too.
